Our board-certified allergists are here to help your patients manage their allergies and asthma.

As a trusted medical provider, your patients look to you to provide guidance on their paths to healthier lives. Patients come to us because of the limitations placed on them due to their allergic or asthmatic conditions. When should I refer a patient to Allergy & Asthma Specialists?

One out of four patients primary care providers see have allergies, but obviously not all need to be referred for testing. A survey of allergy and asthma patients by the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology concluded about 50% of allergy/asthma patients self-identify as having moderate to severe symptoms. Individuals we are most able to help providers with in the management of their allergic and asthmatic conditions include:

  • year-round or severe seasonal rhinitis
  • chromic or recurrent sinusitis or otitis media
  • chronic or recurrent bronchitis
  • cough
  • asthmatics who are poorly controlled or are moderate to severe
  • atopic dermatitis
  • urticaria
  • drug or penicillin allergy
  • stinging insect allergy
  • patients with recurrent respiratory infections

All of these patients are candidates for an evaluation by our team of specialty trained allergists/immunologists.
